Twisted Wire Brush Construction
SINGLE STEM - Single Spiral
Brush fill bristles are twisted between two (2) stem wires with a
single stem wire on each side of the fill wire.
DOUBLE STEM - Single Spiral
Brush fill bristles are twisted between four (4) stem
wires with two stem wires on either side of the fill wire.
DOUBLE STEM - Double Spiral
Brush fill bristles are twisted between four (4) stem wires with two
(2) layers of fill bristles. Fill bristle layers are perpendicular to each
other.

The purpose of a brush is to clean and/or score a
contaminated surface, and the design/selection of the brush is vital to

Usage
First, select the proper brush, referring to the sizing
chart. O.D. (actual) sizes are generally specified for refrigeration
fittings. I.D. (nominal) sizes are generally specified for plumbing
fittings.
Second, always rotate the brush in a clockwise
direction when the brush points away from the user. This tightens the
brush construction.
